Will Rush Duel ever be available in the TCG? What is the official TCG release date?

Konami has officially announced that Rush Duel cards will not be released in TCG territories. As of now, the only official ways to experience Rush Duel are through Duel Links, the Nintendo Switch game (Yu-Gi-Oh! RUSH DUEL: Dawn of the Battle Royale!!), or by purchasing Rush Duel products from the OCG.

If you're interested in playing Rush Duel with physical cards, you're in the perfect place: OCG Rush! Here, you can buy any Rush Duel products you want.

What are Rush Duel full arts ? How can I get one ?

For years, Yu-Gi-Oh! duelists have been asking for full-art cards—a very specific and beautiful type of trading card where the artwork covers the entire card.

Konami had always refused to print such cards… until the introduction of a special Rush Duel rarity: Over Rush Rares! These ultra-rare cards feature stunning full-art designs and can be found in select OCG Rush Duel products—such as Dark Magician Girl in Over Rush Pack Vol. 2, or the fan-favorite Red-Eyes Black Dragon in Triple Build Pack: Evolution Impact.

What are Rush Duel Legend cards ?

Legend Cards are exceptionally powerful cards in Rush Duel, featuring iconic classics like Jinzo, Summoned Skull, or Mirror Force. To maintain game balance, each player is allowed to include only one Legend Card per type (Monster, Spell, or Trap) in their Deck.

These cards are easily recognizable by the "Legend" icon on their artwork, along with a distinctive yellow hue that highlights their legendary status.

Can I play Rush Duel using Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, and can I play Yu-Gi-Oh! using Rush Duel cards?

While both games share the same universe, Rush Duel and Yu-Gi-Oh! (TCG/OCG) are two separate games with different rules and card designs.

Of course, you're free to play however you like casually with friends at home—but it's important to note that despite being very similar Rush Duel cards are not legal in official Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments, and Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG/OCG cards are not legal in Rush Duel tournaments either.

How do you play Rush Duel? What are the Deck/Extra Deck sizes, how is the field different, how many Life Points do we have?

If you're a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG player, learning Rush Duel might feel a bit tricky at first—but you'll quickly get the hang of it!

• Deck Size: 40 to 60 cards

• Extra Deck: Up to 15 cards (same as in the regular TCG)

• Field Layout: Only 3 Monster Zones and 3 Spell/Trap Zones. There are no Pendulum Zones and no Extra Monster Zones.

• Life Points: Both players start with 8,000 Life Points

• Ban List: Rush Duel has its own banlist

One of the most unique aspects of Rush Duel is its summoning mechanic: there’s no limit to the number of Normal Summons or Tributes per turn. You can summon as many monsters as your hand and field allow. Additionally, you draw until you have 5 cards at the start of each turn, which keeps the game fast-paced and dynamic.

Rush Duel is often seen as the Japanese counterpart to the TCG's Speed Duel format, so there are some similarities in pace and simplicity.

If you want to learn more about rules, there are plenty of great video tutorials online that explain the rules in detail!

I’m a Duel Monsters/GX fan—are my favorite monsters or cards available in Rush Duel?

Rush Duel and the original Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG are two separate games, but they share the same magical universe! Many of the most iconic monsters and cards from the Duel Monsters and GX eras have made their way into Rush Duel—often as high-rarity cards, including Legend cards or even stunning Full-Art Over Rush Rares.

Some examples include:

Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Dragon

Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl

• Pot of Greed

• Mirror Force

…and many more, all of which you can find right here on OCG Rush!
